James L. Hanger

Biography

My name is James L. Hanger III. I’m an attorney with my own practice specializing in real estate and wage and hour litigation I’m based in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas, where I’ve lived all my life. I’ve been practicing law for 10 years. I’m also a REALTOR®, having closed dozens of real estate transactions. In addition to helping employees recover damages for unpaid wages from their employers, I have helped close over $210 million in residential and commercial real estate deals. I also help families with estate planning by creating trusts and health care directives. 

I attended Chapman University School of Law in Orange, CA. Before law school, I worked for the City of Los Angeles in the Housing Department, where I wrote land use covenants to help create affordable housing.  

I enjoy being active in my community. I volunteer on my local homeowner’s association board, having served as Treasurer for over 4 years. I’ve traveled to all 50 states, and have completed 20 marathons. I’m licensed as an attorney in California and Washington state.
